Tower part 2

The second part of the tower went really well. The hard part was taking the form-work out from the inner portion of the tower.

Tower part 1

The first pour for tower 1 was a bit of a disaster. A piece of my topo slid off and the concrete started leaking from the bottom of the form. Eith the help pf some classmates, I was able to quickly fix the leak and the piece did not come out so bad!

concrete reataining wall

The pour for the retaining wall went smoothly, and the result looks nice!

weekend construction

The weekend went alright in terms of construction. The fires sort of delayed my work since my main access to school was cut off; but I am only a few hours behind schedule!

On friday i built my topo and I terminated my footing calculations in the early evening , but could not proceed with the excavation until prof. Gery had them checked off.

I was able to start and complete excavation on saturday.

On Sunday morning I poured my caissons and footings with the help of Eddy.
After that, I spent most of my time helping other students, while waitning for my concrete to dry.
